The District

The Association of Tennessee Alphamen

The Association of Tennessee Alphamen is the governing body representing the Chapters and Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. seated or residing within the State of Tennessee.  Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African Americans, was founded, December 4, 1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York by seven college men who recognized the need for a strong bond of brotherhood among African descendants in this country.

The Region

Through the governance of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Southern Region of Alpha Phi Alpha, the Association of Tennessee Alphamen is empowered to represent the interests of our dear fraternity across the state.

The District of Tennessee (ATA) has over 500 active brothers representing 23 chapters from Memphis to Johnson City and Clarksville to Chattanooga, covering every corner of the Volunteer State.
